Besides the numerous industry and consumer travel awards bestowed on the line since virtually its inception – Crystal has earned “World’s Best”  and “Readers’ Choice Award Winner” rankings from Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler, respectively, more than any other cruise line – the true success of the “Crystal Experience” is best illustrated by the company’s number of repeat guests.  It’s the highest in the industry, enticing travelers back aboard its luxury ships again and again with personalized service, extraordinary attention to the finest details and innovative itineraries.  First and foremost, however, the Crystal brand of luxury is neither stuffy nor intimidating.  It represents the very best personal experience a cruise can deliver, from experienced captains, officers, and staff to crew and shore-side personnel who genuinely look forward to welcoming guests into the Crystal Family®.

Through its uncompromising focus on classic service, abundant space, extensive choices and quality, Crystal Cruises has redefined the luxury vacation.  As a result, it has become the benchmark against which guests and travel agents now measure all other cruise lines.

In May 2015, Crystal Cruises was acquired by Genting Hong Kong (GHK), and embarked on a new era of expanded luxury travel.  Under the new ownership of the global hospitality, leisure and entertainment powerhouse, combined with ambitious leadership from Chief Executive Officer & President Edie Rodriguez, the line will broaden its offerings to welcome more intrepid luxury travelers than ever, with new ships, new itineraries and other splendid surprises on the horizon.

Crystal Cruises’ first award-winning luxury vessel, Crystal Harmony® embarked in 1990, with sister ships Crystal Symphony® and Crystal Serenity®joining the fleet in 1995 and 2003, respectively.  Since Crystal Harmony’s retirement in 2005, the line has operated its enriching global itineraries with the two remaining ships, often pioneering cruise ship access to ports and experiences throughout the world.  Continuing innovative momentum, in 2016, Crystal will be the first large luxury cruise line to navigate the elusive Northwest Passage, while in 2018, the cruise line will expand its coveted World Cruise portfolio with four separate global itineraries.

Helmed by Rodriguez – who joined the line in fall 2013 boasting more than 30 years in the global cruise, travel and technology industries – Crystal’s leadership also expanded in 2015.  A new branch office opened in Miami to better serve east coast and international guests and travel partners, while senior management boasts decades of combined experience in the luxury travel market, including Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Mazloum, a 20-plus-year Crystal veteran.
